About	I spied this garter snake peeping from behind the Opuntia cactus. I set up and wait several minutes for it to reappear. He almost looked like a cactus pad.

A happy camper shot! I like it. Technically, I think it could be warmed up just a bit, because of the bluish cast.

Nice catch! The exposure is good and you were able to compose it quite nicely. A suggestion for this photo would be to see what you can do by cropping it into different sizes, with the emphasis on giving the snake a little bit more *bite* in the picture.
