beautiful wow.....i wonder why i have not come across this image it must be my falut to overlook in exictement.....i the the dark blue sky nad branches are beautiful appearing so beautifully in it and this kind of the shinny water in darkness i have seem only in reality....and reaching on shore a day light shade and shadow of a tree excellent framing ......tell me have u written these words they are so beautiful one who stand and face all these lines can only say i like them because their is no complaints for any one a simple winter passing a person feels it and say it
Winter
The Birds are gone, the world is white,
The winds are wild, they chill and bite;
The ground is thick with slush and sleet,
And I can barely feel my feet.
a person talks about winter and himself and he can feel winter but cannot feel his feets u are good alison i feel good to know u.....

alison.... i'll have all summer to shoot beach photos, so now i'm just trying to figure out where to go. many beaches in thailand are on my list, and in the post-tsunami period, they should still remain uncrowded and peaceful. also thinking of other beaches in indonesia and maybe vietnam as well.... but back to thailand for sure, as i'm familiar with that country and have recently discovered many little beaches out of the way that are absolutely stunning.
actually i came back early from my trip (returned this morning) as i had spent a ton of money (more than i planned) and have to go back to thailand in three months for a wedding. but i enjoyed myself.
if you're ever on holiday in asia, i can point out many nice places that you might want to see.

Great 'sparkle' photo, Alison - you know I love those! The extreme contrasts created by the silhouetted trees against the bright water is really cool! Love the intricate detail in the tree branches!

Sometimes, but I can't remember if this one was polorized, I take alot of the pictures into the sun thus the darker look. I'm looking forward to your beach photos. Alison
