About I think a photography class should be a requirement in all educational programs because it makes you see the world rather than just look at it.

I like the silouette of the trees as well as the pattern the branches make. Also, the contrast of blue sky, white snow, dark leafless trees, really gives you that "chilled" effect ... makes me cold just looking at it. Great work!

Lovely sky colour which contrasts perfectly with the beach and the snow.

Beautiful one.

Dear Alison,

very beautiful image, and a rare sight for a Portuguese - we don't have a lot of snow, and definitely have none by the sea.
Regards,
Paulo

A beautiful study in blue, black and white! I really like those long shadows cast by the trees! Did you have the polarizer on for this shot?

That is beautiful. The colors, light and details are all great. Snow is an oddity for those of us who live this far south, thanks for the eye candy!

Few things are so pretty as a snow-covered landscape. Tough to expose right but this comes as close to perfect as you can get. Very nice.

That is so true! I said the same thing to my better half and 18yr old daughter... My other half has now taken an interestin photography but the 18yr old.... well you know how they can be!

Beuatiful colours and silhouettes here. You've done a good job of not getting the blue cast that so often afflicts brightly lit snow scenes too. Well done!
Alastair
