Great shot. I've tried taking pictures in churches here, but I can't get it right, specially since I never have a tripod it's always too dark. Did you use a tripod?

I like the repeating patterns in this shot, yet with each candle and glass having it's own unique qualities! Really good sharpness for being handheld!

Phil,It was handheld and most of the pictures from inside the church blurred some, I really don't know that much about the f stops yet, so will have to learn. Thank's for the comment. Alison

Hola hermanita, que bella fotografía y about, me has hecho pendar en cómo nosotros pedimos y agradecemos a Dios , pero, nunca preguntamos ni oramos por èl mismo. una pregunta: los palitos largos debajo de las velas son incienso o fosforos, te pregunto pues aqui no se acostumbra a poner insienso en las iglesias, solo en las proceciones como la del Sr. de los milagros hay muchas mujeres que llevan unas maderas llamadas palosanto o Holy wood en ingles en unos envaces de plata donde los queman, ellas se laman ahumadoras o algo así.
