I freeze in front of the image not knowing what to do. The same happens when some beggar is close to me. Unfortunately, I freeze, and I don't know what to do.

What makes this piece even sadder is that the few coins that are in her cup are what i gave her. everyone else passing her just ignored her. Thank you for viewing my work. Ben

very touching image, ben. This kind of people in Manila are the ones ive always wanted for my subjects. This simply shows the truth. It's just that I guess im so unlucky enough to be living or working where you see few of them...

Such a sad, and yet beautiful image. Showing how poor and sad the life of a begger is, but in such a beautiful light - quite a contrast here.

I'm not sure if I could have pulled the trigger on this one, though I do not fault you for doing so. In fact I'm glad you were able to capture this image and share it with the rest of us.
Your tilted composition is excellent and seems to give a nice sense of depth and dimension to the scene that might not be there with a straight angle. The bright shine of the pavement is well exposed, and also serves to give a slight underexposure to her face, which I think is good here, as it enhances the feeling of desperation and mystery. The kicker for me is the way she is holding the cup right toward the camera and thus right toward me and the rest of the world. Powerful image Ben.
