Wow! Fantastic shot. The blurred wings add a great dynamic touch and a wonderful contrast to the dead or injured bird. The DoF is perfect and the focus is perfectly sharp in the right place. Very nicely done.
I'm wondering about the scenario of the shot, though. Is it really sorrow, grief, compassion; or is it the end of a territorial battle? I guess the rest of the series might clear things up. Looking forward to the remaining seven in the series.

A very sad and powerful image, you can see the grief. Great shutter choice to keep the bird sharp but introduce movement in the wings.
