I think the tree on the right side is interesting and it might have been worth a try to pan a little to the right to get more of that tree and loose half the tree on the left side. But I don't know what was there. I have to admit that I'm not the best landscape photographer. When I do landscapes I usually try different framings of one subject. But of course that doesn't replace a good eye for landscapes :)

Thanks for an honest critique. I also see that it's lacking a main subject. I am not sure how/if this particular I tried the shot without the blur filter and Thanks for a helpful critique. I tried this shot without the blur filter and there was too much detail and clutter in the branches at the top of the frame (left and right). It was distracting and it made the image totally flat (in my opinion). I guess there really isn?t a subject but I think the blur filter gives it at least some depth while smoothing out the clutter near the upper edges. Perhaps it?s not a really strong image, but it was fun to take, I will certainly try this again in the future.

I like the colors and framing. I'm not so sure about the blur effect. It doesn't really support the subject nor does it draw attention to something interesting.
