Green, those are the San Gabriel Mountains, the highest point being Mt. Baldy at just over 10,000 feet (3,000 m), about 25 miles as the crow flies from downtown. From many L.A. locations you don't see the San Gabriels because of various hills in between, or because occasionally we have (ahem) a little bit of smog or natural haze. The mountains have somewhat more snow than usual, from when we had all the rain and mudslides a couple of weeks ago.
Brilliant perspective, including the grass and fence. It makes LA almost look humane :) Kidding, of course. Beautiful shot, Ken. Thanks also for your continous support. I really appreciate it.
