Great composition with the puddle in the foreground. Looks so cold yet so warm. Very contrasty feelings in this picture.
Oh, and I heard about the squid on the ABC national news, surprised it wasn't a topic on yoru local news. They said they had no clue why these were so far out of their region and they were warning SoCal beachgoers not to touch them. If they are being brought that far north, maybe the seaweed you spotted is part of that, either something common from Argentina area of red tide from that area.
