Brilliant work, yet again Jeanette! For me this is a great portrait of some ancient warrior (Mongol? Hun?) the background looks like the plate armour that they wear and the dude looks like nobody to mess with!
But more than a portriat you capture the whole feeling.. I can just imagine the burning villages and weeping women! powerful stuff.

Yes, combining the texture of his long hair with the wood grain and roof shingles works, definitely works! I admire what you're doing in the darkroom. This picture is all about drama -- it would make a great album cover for a metal thrash band (if you don't mind me saying so?). Striking picture.
