I'm not sure if the rock warrants such a large part of the composition.

Why can't there be a sunrise like this every morning??

Two exposures masked to one, the levels and hue/saturation is original to each. Horizon straightened & image sharpened in CS.

well done chris. the rock is large, but all a matter of opinion on whether or not its too large. in fact, i took a similar shot on a beach on ko samui last week. yet to figure out whether or not it's good enough to upload here. i guess i'll let my UF critics decide on that for me.

Wonderful deep rich Orange. Love it. The rock doesn't bother me. Dottie

A high 'wow factor' on this one, Chris!!
And the rock's okay with me as it doesn't overlap the horizon.
Kind regards, Chris

yes, i agree with you on the rock. too bad there wasn't something else there. But spectacular sunset. Do you add anything to the sunrises/sets you photograph?

Oh, and check you email too ;)

The strong start as foreground object, gave this sunrise beauty an extra touch, beside the slow shutter effect, stunning colour and excellent work. Saeed

All of your photos are really gorgeous! You should start putting together a coffee table book of the photographs you have taken in your area! You'd make a killing!!! )

Wow, what great colors! I'm on the fence about the rock. When I'm close to the screen, and I can see just a bit of detail in it, I like it. When I step back a little (and thus lose the detail), it seems a little too big, and dark. Just my $.02
