well kelly, funny you should ask... the family has always taken the caravan down to the central coast for 2 weeks every christmas, where the van is is literally a stone's throw from the beach. The two weeks involves lots of sun in the day and boozing at night, this was the result of a 5:30am call of nature, followed by surf check, when i am sure i was still quite drunk, these were the few shots that came out with a straight horizon and correct exposure from the hundred or so i took!

Gee steve what time did you have to get up to get these stunning photos? i thought about it over the weekend, but didn't actually get there...... i would have to camp right on the beach to be here this early.......
