Well constructed photo Howie, good job. It's good to see someone going from digital back to film. I have been tempted to do the same!

Yes, Howie, of course I like to see real slide film. The view is very nice, I also like the rainy weather and especially the sky colours.( A film scanner would also be nice later :) ) I like these photos of wales a lot ! Regards Jan

Love the shot - feels like a "cross-roads" shot, (high-road, low-road...). A little bright on the left but it's not like you had any way to view it and "perfect that", and I love that you have film shots still. I miss the film, but I'm a chicken so I admire your ability Howie. Great job. The DOF is amazing.

wooowww Howie.. an impressive view from a wideangle lens! The perspective which creates is big. A beautiful point of sight where all meets of the town and the sea. Strange the tower "seems" to lean to right on the contrary. So nice work take care.. roby 7

Finally, Usefilm looks to be back to normal LOL. Its funny with my photography because I only took up the lovely art at the end of 2000 when I bought my first digital camera, the Fuji 4700. I didn't buy my first film camera until about 9 months ago. I've only really used the film camera mainly for black and white. I had some slide bought for me for Christmas from my kids so I thought I'd give it a go.
It's totally different to digital for sure and Ive made a few elementary mistakes. I read somewhere that slide likes a -2/3 ev compensation but this ruined over half my photos from three films :)
Still, in general Im more than happy with the results :) It also kept my interest going especially this time of year where the weather is so cold and miserable.
Thanks for the comment Corrie and hope you had a great New Year :)
Howie

Great shot, especially taking into consideration that it's a hand held. Stunning blue sky. I just love the way Velvia makes these types of shots "pop." Very well done.
I knew this had to be Wales...any time I see that many "w's" and "y's" that close together...well, it's a fair bet it's Welsh!

Those colours are fantastic, especially in the sky. What inspired you to go back to film instead of only digital? (just curious...)

Thanks for all the support Mark. Really like the work you've been producing. Im hoping to get out this weekend all being well. Just bought an eos 3 which should be good for landscapes. See how it goes anyhow :)
Looking forward to seeing your night shots of Newcastle. All the best bud.
