Koby, we used an empty window frame that had been boarded up. The colours are from gels.

I love what you did with the lighting here. It's very different and interesting. She almost looks like a cardboard cutout. I love it. The color is very pleasing and moody. Rose

Mike, I did notice a few comments people had made about crops and lighting on your pics. Personally, I didn't feel they were entirely justified, but then again, you have to be true to yourself. If you like something that others find fault with, then that should in no way deter you, especially if you're pushing something to extremes to create a particular effect. Don't forget, it took a very long time for people to really appreciate much of the artwork we have out there, and some of it was rather extreme (ie. Picasso and his weird style).
As for me, I rather like softness and playing around with high-contrast lighting and colours.
Cheers, Pradeep

I understand being creative. I looked at all of you portfolio. Some nice stuff. I commented on a few and you will see most of my comments say something about the crops. I hope I don't offend you as it's not my intention.

Mike, sometimes I intentionally do tighter crops for creative reasons and I felt it worked well in this image. You see, I really wanted to emphasize the tightness of the space she had to work with and was hoping that was portrayed. In case you're wondering, she's actually sitting in a blacked out window frame.
Yes, there is no flash. I used a couple of portable halogen lamps to illuminate from the front, and there are 3 fluorescent colour tubes illuminating the sides (2 blue) and top (red).
Thanks for your comment. It is much appreciated.

Pradeep,
I like this shot but? IMO, the crop is too tight. I would like to see the top of her head and both feet/shoes. Where does the light come from? You say no flash but I see two different shadow lines and catch lights in her eyes. The model and the outfit look great and this is a great idea.

Here's my humble attempt at photo art: (It's actually a black & white process I modified which seemed to work well for this pic.)
