Lori this is absolutely stunning, no wonder you like it, the twigs in the foreground make it feel as though you as sitting in a birds nests looking out. Wonderful colours and textures in this as well as a gorgeous composition

Choosing a photo for the project it?s not an easy goal.... even more if we are talking about your photos, Lori!!!
Indoubtly this is a very good one. The dove is nicely framed by the landscape elements.
But in your case ... we can talk about best photoSS..., not a single one...

Thanks for your comment. I really went back and forth between 'endless tears' and one of the sailboat with lantern photos. But, I'm still drawn to this one....but....then again, so am I to the sailboats.....LOL LOL

The whiteness of the bird contrasts well with the rest of the scene. The background information about the photo also makes me less sceptical about the title - few birds and animals, to me, are totally innocent or 'spirits of peace'; they're all bound to the wheel of an existence that compels them to kill in order to survive. But it is a nice photograph and the bird is untroubled, at home in a landscape that could turn violent at any time. There is as much beauty in violence as there is in peace; it's just so difficult for us to accept the truth of that, more convenient to love birds of 'peace' than those associated with 'prey'.
