wow, a stunning image. very thought provoking , but also very well executed. to me there are strong religious overtones attched to it. don't know if this was intended? anyways great shot.

An interesting and powerful image, Sebastian. This will be a common sight and the smoker's only public domain when many city anti-smoking ordinances are enacted throughout the United States. Smoke 'em while you got 'em, pal. Peace.

Very powerful image. It brings so many different connotations to mind. Because of its abstract nature you can associate almost anything with it, however, once you get that association, it is hard to see it in a different light.
It is very well rendered and the job on it is just fantastic. I'm just curious what your vision was or the motivation to shoot it...
for me it brings very negative images to mind. The burlap bag with the numbers and the smoke rising from it associate bring too many images from war-time Europe to mind --- makes it very powerful but at the same time very depressing. I guess the only thing wrong in a reading of that sort is the fact that the hand poking out of the image is not skin and bones, but rather quite full...
that is just my reading of the image, I'm sure that for many it brought out different connotations. I guess that is the beauty of abstract
