actually the shot was taken from a tenis court,and the faint grid you mentioned is the shadow/reflection of the wire fence surronding the that court.. i like the effect of it,

Hi Baki, this is an excellent shot. What caused the faint grid over this image? Did you shoot it through a window? The effect somehouw creates a distance between the leaf and the leaf.
The strongest element in this shot is the combiantion of the refraction of the leaf under the surface of the pool and the reflection sticking out above the water. Very well captured, and a creative approach!
