About Just like I said in my last post; just can't get enough of this car...

Now you've seen the entire car, it's time to converge to where I started...

Thank you all for your constructive and many comments, I really appreciate it!

There's some oxidation visible on the chromium; but that's the only spot; this beauty is in mint condition...;o) I decided against removing it, and kept as close as possible to the original shot; only cloned out some dust bunnies, resized it, and added the frame, and that's it...

I really enjoyes this series, the way you portrayed a car with your view and angles are special. The colors and details are splendid, i think the car-industry has a thing or two to learn from this series :-)

Congrats

Quite apart from the blemish it represents in this image, I don't think I could have resisted actually removing the chrome oxidation--not just closning it out on the photo! The rest of the car is so immaculate! Nice series, and this shot has a place in it.

Hi Hugo,

sometimes, a photographer has to go onto his knees and search for the perfect perspective. you've obviously found one.

gains a lot of tension, definitely. and reverses the bottom-up-feeling, at least for me. spaceships flying in the sky. tremendous special effect.

vote for at least another BIP.

take care,
thilo

It took me a little while to orient myself in this image, but once the geometry of it was clear to me it all snapped into place at once and now it is absolutely obvious what the view is. I like the idea of finishing up this by closing in on the car again...

Yes Hugo you understnd exactly what I mean it would imply loosing perspective

Hi Paul, Good idea! WIth all considerations I have received, I'll probably go out and shoot another abstract series of this car next spring... After finishing this one, I have a few other themes I'd like to throw at you...:)

Cheers,

Hugo

Hi Antonio, very interesting concideration; I did think of that, but felt the deep blue was an addition to the composition. After your comment, I should maybe reconsider.... It would imply loosing the perspective, though, or did you have another crop in mind? Thanks for your constructive comment, very useful!

Cheers,

Hugo

Hi Verena, Thanks for your comment, and in answer to your questions:

Re: fantastic final point of this serie, or? More coming?
It could've been the final one, as we're back where I started this series, but I'll tell you a secret; there is an "encore", this photo is merely a prelude to the final one...

Re: Do you mind if I take over the idea from detail to overview and back for some future series?
How could I mind? You were the inspiration for this series in the first place (read the about in http://www.usefilm.com/image/608233.html)...:) From your "style and signature" I tried to graduately merge to my style and beyond with The one where Michael Kanemoto helped me out with the PS work, and now I'm returning to where I started... In answer to your question, I would be flattered!

Cheers,

Hugo

Dear Hugo,

fantastic final point of this serie, or? More coming? ;)

Do you mind if I take over the idea from detail to overview and back for some future series?

It is a great detail shot, but checking back, my final decision for a fav is number one.

Cheers,
Verena

Instead of a sun a deep yellow and mirrored one which creates a fantastic perspective and also works great as an unusual vision and also as an abstract. Unique Hugo!

Antonio Trincone   {K:23167} 12/9/2004
here you can create a more strong shot (IMHO) using just the reflection of the sky on the car and not the real one; then a crop of the one third on the right should improve it

Here the other side of "show". Dear Hugo I am taking starting point from a few photographies to try a new technique. He concerns the cars!
The astrattysm of these photographies is perfect, they always have some particular cuts!
take care..

Nervous about its age the chrome clings to its old friend the pillars and cast it's wary eye behind.

Hi Hugo,

You're getting a lot of mileage out of both the car itself and the photographs of it.

You really need to go for 6, and round the count off. How about one under the hood? That would be interesting!

I like this image, especially the three spots of gold, one the light and two reflections.

I prefer a couple of the first ones to this one, but that's just a matter of personal taste.

As usual, an excellent image very well done!
Lori :)

hugo, very cool! similar in context to part I and yet a bit less abstract. we know it's a car here. i like the difference in backgrounds as the sky here is more than a mere background but an active poarticipant in the emotional content. as it rushes at you, the viewer, the feeling of the car being in motion is introduced. very well done my man. a beautiful shot and excellent interpretation of this beautiful automobile! excellent!

take care,
tom

Hi Lukasz, You have a point, I've been considering this shot in the series for quite some time, but as there's one more to follow, I needed an intermezzo as a prelude to the last in this series. I also agree that the previous ones are more harmonious, although I do think this one does create a bit of dynamism and tension.

The specks in the chromium is some minor oxidation; I decided against retouching it, and stay as closely to the real file.

As usual, I appreciate your comment alot, thanks!

Cheers,

Hugo

this car must be really fascinating!
to be honest Hugo, I prefer previous shots;
I can not find harmony here; the lines and reflections seems to make an accidental collection;
metal seems not to be perfectly clean (I would expect it taking into consideration THIS car) what distracts my view;
regards
Lukasz
