Yup Den, I'm kind of tough on hardware, the old lens is kind of loose on the end of itself, wiggles a bit as i walk. I bought the D70 in August and wrecked it already. Mind you i have taken 9000 photos with it already, more them most people do in a life time...ha-ha

Nope, don't get a 300mm. We wouldn't see so many of these superb shots. Truly magnificent Tim. Den PS Just been thinking of when you first got the D70 and went up in the Rockies. Don't time fly?

Beautiful shot, and the two birds really add to the picture, the (grass/reeds) lead you into the picture nicely, like it!

Hi Tim, Thank you so much for all of your kind words on so many of my photos. Guess we are kindred spirits. Wouldn't it be nice to do nothing but just travel and see what the world has to offer up. This photo is magnificent. I LOVE the lighting. Very moody and supurbly well thought. Love the landscape in that part of the country. When Will continue to enjoy your work for a long time. Lets do a road trip together (hehehe) Your friend. Laurie

I think this scenery is very beautiful and there?s a special atmosphere and mood that should not be there if it was a tad brighter - in my point of view.

yes this is true Bill. I could go both ways, I find that the darker version increases the drama and really draws my eye up to the focal point. On the other hand the lighter version is more mellow and allows my eye to explore without the forced feeling. So I guess it depends on the style that interests you as the viewer. A good observation thanks Bill.
