Hi Stephan.
I like this. Without your description I wouldn't have guessed what it was, but now that you say, I can see it! Gorgeous blue tones, lovely smooth curves and well spotted! What would a square crop be like without the black bar on the right? Just wondering! I like it very much.
Thanks as always for your comment on my picture - much appreciated. I got myself a pointer but have so much fun teasing the dog with it, there's never enough power left for experimenting!
Regards,
Dan.

Excellent, Stefan! I really like this one a lot! When I read through the comments, I also thought that the black strip along the right works here, giving those wonderful curves a place to gracefully fade off into (but I see Kim already beat me to it - she's good!)

stefan, i love it! wonderful abstract. i actually could see the armor. looked like the part around the shoulder of your classic suit of armor. once i read your "about" i saw it immediately. i like the tension of not knowing tho ;^). next time, let us stew a bit and post a spoiler later? i really like the composition tho. concave becomes convex. curves become overlayed plates of steel. very cool indeed! 7+
take care, tom

Hi again Kim - you express well how I feel about the composition in this image. Without the dark side I think it loses a dimension that it has now.

This is the most beautiful piece of playground equipment I have ever seen. The luminosity and glow coming off the curves really is eye-appealing. I disagree with Hugo... I really think that the strip of black on frame right adds a lot to this image... it adds mystery and a sense of wonder. It's almost an anchor for such strong colour and deep lines. Without it, I feel like it's an okay image, but it doesn't have the power that the darkness gives it. If you hadn't of said what this was, I would have been wondering all week!

Hi Stefan, Good abstract, and very appealing toning. I wonder why you included the dark strip on the right in the composition. I think it somehow reduces the tension and perceived perspective in this photo. Other than that, I do like the use of (your) reflection as well as the faint touch of colour. Good shot!
Cheers,
Hugo

in an odd way, this reminds me of your 'wispy' series (sorry, don't know what it's called, but the ones that look like they're underwater). i think it's because of the curves and lines and yes, the branches caught in the slide. excellent abstract (as ususal).
