Excellent composition and colors, John. It's easy to see how it got its name, and no wonder it feels a little spooky, but it's also lovely. Well done!

john, you seem to have captured the 'other-wordly' feel you describe about this place. Something about the soft movement in the grass & the shadows create a dynamic & strong mood in the piece. Wonderful sense of perspective.

Outstanding image John.
You've composed this extremely well... I enjoy how the eye tracks from the upper left corner to the lower right very naturally.
The inclusion of the large rock and the detail adds to the overall image.
The colors in the foreground and the sky make the image complete for me.
Very nicely done.
All the best.

First "Lord of the Rings" and now "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe"? New Zealand must be a great setting for fantasies. This does have a rather eery atmosphere...

slumping? as in a cave collapsed? that would be unnerving. This looks like a great area for interesting compositions. the island that we are on is also mostly limestone and has the most caves in all of North America. Some extending for miles. You have managed to capture the feel of the place I think bringing out the spookiness that you are aware of. Hey thanks for your extensive posting on my work. It was such a pleasure to hear from you and what you thought about my progression to date.

A dramatic lanscape, John, with what I see as your trademark combination of softness and detail. I hope the film crew doesn't disturb this place ("Move the rock, I don't want it there...")

John, You always manage to capture these stunning areas so well, love the line that the cliff edge gives, as it draws you down to the appeoaching weather. Love the almost split in sky conditions between the two halves. Nice little history rundown, great touch. Russell
