WOW! Bobby, this is a FANTASTIC shot, I love it. I wish I had taken this one, I think a square frame would enhance this image. (Not that it needs enhancement)
Perfect in color, LOVE IT, Lori :)

cool image.. I dont think a tripod would have made it better..in fact, I think it is better that you handheld the camera.. like the effect and the lighting... nicely seen and captured.. good work.....

Seems like a tripod wasn't really required. This is an excellent shot. Well done, sir!

Bobby this is really neat. I'm amazed at the clarity of the dancer with all the action at the same time. And hand held at that! The soft silhouette of the dancer with the awesome flames is great. I would be happy to have taken this.. Lee

bobby, very cool shot! i wouldn't worry too much about the lack of tripod. a shot like this begs for more motion and, like hugo said, what little hand-induced motion there is not noticeable and possibly adds to the shot. i very much dig that you caught him facing away and in front of the fire as it adds dynamism to the scene. i'm also suprised and happy to see very little ISO noise and none in the black background. did you clean it up or is this as-is? just curious.... great shot, as usual!
take care, tom

Hi Bobby, Nice and dynamic shot; not as clean as your usual work, action packed and very powerful. I think this subject, and the circular motion of the flames would also be very effective in a squared presentation. Very well captured, and for a 1s hand held shot, I think the very little motion blur due to the camera shaking (if any) is impressive... (maybe the credit for that goes to the flash...:)) Very well captured, and a nice handling of the fill flash.
Cheers,
Hugo
