Hi,Amna they write wide angle `cos if you are using it for the film camera(35mm) then it is a wide angle, but if you are using it for digital camera then you need to multiply the no. by 1.6 , `cos the sensor of the digital is smaller than 35mm in the normal film camera. Saeed

Hi Saeed, Thanks alot, then why they wrote wide!! I will never ever get this numbers things. I know the lens you are talking about the EF 17-40/4L, last time I went to a camera shop it was almost 4,800, where as in other markets it is almost $800 and the price is decreasing see the different?? If I paid the 4,800 it means more than what I paid for my camera by 1000! so it is better to buy a new camera instead with better features lol!
Thanks for the advice, I will keep an eye on the canon EF 17-40/4L ;-)
thanks once again, amna

Hi,Amna My pleasure if its up to my knowledge do not worry.. You did mention,, wide angle this is not a wide angle Amna for the digital camera..(28-80 3.5 ).. Real it is 44.8 - 128 mm.. So no near wide angle it is almost standard 50 mm and a tele zoom. What I found a part from the Original companies like Nikon (or Nikkor), Canon lenses of the other companies, the result of the images is too soft.. I bought for my Nikon camera an original Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 18-70MM 1:3 5-4.5G ED. DX SWM ED IF ASPHERICAL C 67, it?s about 2200 dh, but it is very sharp with great result, you can buy the same one but dia,, is small, 2.5 ,the price is more. Do not go for any lens which starts more than 20mm, otherwise is not wide angle. Saeed NB.. Till now there is no digital lens in the market, all you see is compatible lenses means ok for normal and digital camera, so when you go to buy lenses always multiply the focal length by 1.6 to know exactly the figure, like what you mentioned 28-80 is 44.8-128mm .

Hi Saeed I will bother you again with a lens question. Since you have an experience with Tamron, I am thinking of buying the wide angle zoom 28-80 3.5 - 5.6 lens, I read several reviews about it and no major drawback for its price. currently I have these lenses : 1. Canon EF 18-55mm 3.5 6.5 2. Sigma 105 macro 2.8 3. canon EF 90- 300 mm 3.5 6.5
Basically, I am looking for a lens that can give me a rang shorter than my zoom lens (no.3) and better quality than the EF 55mm. I looked for the canon with 2 aperture lenses but they turned out to be more expensive than my camera. The lens specification as follows: Aspherical elements and strong, lightweight plastic barrel and compact portability, make this an excellent all-purpose standard lens. Filter size 58mm. Macro rating 1:8. Minimum focus 27.5". Dimensions: 2.8 x 2.8". Weighs 8.4oz.
any recommendation?
Thanks, Amna

Beautifull caputre Amna. But a minor thing, the sky seems overexposed, why didn't you crop it out?
