Okay thats when you focus on something of the same distance nearby and half press the shutter, turn around to the steeple and follow through with the shutter press.

Yes this one does look good detail Judi, but several of the church steeple did not look as sharp as I expected them too, to the point of not wanting to post them. Only thing I can think of is maybe the trees in area caught my auto focus a bit.

Now you are starting to look at different angles. The old weathered wood looks wonderful in detail. The colour of the sky is tremendous. Keep it up.
