cool. thanks for the details. it has a very interesting "natural" look to it, i am impressed that so much manipulation worked and kept it still natural looking. It looks like a blurry photo of some lights shone on a white tree at night, I had no idea it was a macro and the lights were all added later.

Oh, yes. Not spetacular. I was just playing with Paint Shop.
1- I did a shot, through my magnifying glass of hand, off a small feather of bird, on a deep rugoso black plastic.
2- I done the blur effect over the image, in the Paint Shop, to add mystery and used the effect of ilumination/colors to create the colorful lights.

this is pretty. i enjoy the image, but it is nothing spectacular. what do you mean by homemade lens? did you put colored papers over parts of an optical device? is that why the focus is so soft? anyway its nice and strange. thanks for sharing!
