Just to make it clear, I was not talking about the pattern on the sand caused by the wind; rather I was talking about some "check"-type pattern near the end of the dune (top center).

Lovely landscape. I wish it was a tad sharper. Also, what happened on the bottom of the dune and in the sky? I can see some sort of pattern there.

Great shot. Like the play of light on the dunes and the ripples in the sand.

Thank you for the kind comments. A lucky shot that at the time I shot it I was so tired and hot walking miles of sand that it was only after devlopement I fell in love. The refrence to the first comment ...he corrected me it was 29 Palms not 19 as I first stated. And yes as a big print I have sold 2 copies to desert rats 24x36 that look fantastic. Here is a shot of the big print.

Don't understand the first comment, I think it looks great! I like photos like this, that work both as landscapes and abstracts, I wish I'd taken this one myself (we just don't get too many sand dunes in the Scottish borders!)

Isn't it 29 Palms? ;-) It's probably a good picture, but the side effects of scanning and reducing the size of it ruin it...
