About The visual images of our memories are always seen through the mist and grain of the time...
This image isn't taken with a camera, but came out to my camera directly from my childhood memory of the huge wheel that scared me the first time,... but there was my mother next to me and wheel then started to shrink to its normal size.

It does have a certain nostalgic feel to it. Like you explained it does appear like a memory, you can hear the laughing children and the crying babies. You can hear the carnival music. The magic of childhood never disappears, it is still hidden in the back of the mind waiting to come back out and play. A most wonderful image, with a rather warm feel~

p.s. thank you very much for the thoughtful comment, I really appreciated it~

Antonia...

here's an alternative point of view...

"The true mystery of the world is the visible, not the invisible". - Oscar Wilde

Armen! You give me chills. The good kind. You are running around deep inside the mind when you do such thought provoking images and comments. What a wonderful experience it is to meet you. The ferris wheel is a very powerful symbol from my childhood, and many others' I'm sure. And I agree with that very profound statement...the most important things ARE invisible. Toni

Thank you everybody else for the comments.
The reason I didn't enhance the contrast is for the comments to the image. For me this image represents the "wased out" memories of childhood, that is why I chose lighter contrast.

Santa Monica OK........thius reminds me of pictures I?ve seen from Conet Island. It works very well with the grainyness and BW and i like this image even better than the previous. Excellent comp. Looks like the last day of the season, soon it will be closed for winter.
