This is my first test shot with my new Nikon Coolpix 2200. This is the most simple camera in the coolpix line right now. I started in digital photography with a Coolpix camera (880) and after testing cameras from Canon, Fuji, and Sony I still missed the colours and textures of my Nikon Coolpix so I bought a simple 2Mpx Coolpix for the days I just want fun and no-thinking-photography.
But!, I'm pretty amazed of the quality of this 2Mpx camera. You don't have direct control over the camera settings (but if you know how photography works you can force the camera to use your settings in the way you want tweaking with the multiple scenes modes). Lense quality and matrix metering are superbs as this shot (only slightly desaturated in PS) can demonstrate.). After all this time I still love Coolpix cameras, and with all its simple ways, this Coolpix 2200 is a winner for me!. Hope you like the composition too :)))))).
Excellent detail and texture, with excellent lighting. This is a good example of knowing your cameras limitations and applying your skills. The old saying is always true, It?s not the camera, but the photographer taking the pictures that make the image. John
