About The fisherman boat had traveled thousands of miles and gathered tons of fish until it met some furious waves that ripped apart her...

Found a destroyed fishingship on the harbour.. with fences around it. Made a few shots.. liked this one the best! Hope you enjoy it! =)

it is like a painting!! great textural contrast in the photo and a good presentation! You have a personal style of shooting scenery, do not change this way!!!

Another great shot, Patrick. You really get the impression that 'the sun has set' on this boat. The light and sky is great too.
Take care,
Omar

Patrick, nice shot... ever think about converting to B&W? It's pretty dramatic...wondered what the enhanced contrast would do to it? Wondered about scaling back on the thickness of the border mat...?

Just thinking...!

Aye.. My Tamron that cost half that the Sigma costed has 2.8.. and i get a better sharpness with that lens. and better control over the exposure in bad lighted areas. As i said.. i would go for the 14mm if i could change!! hehe. =)

Cheers!

Hi Patrick,

very interesting story. actually, I wanted to buy a 12-24mm (sigma or nikon) as I thought that the flexible lens would be great. as I tried the 14mm, I'm not so sure about that. And your words support the idea of having a very light-sensitive fixed lens instead of a flexible lens with just f/4.

thx for the answer, helps me a lot.
take care,
thilo

Hi Thilo and thanks for your comment!! =) The only thing except cropping i did in photoshop was to darken it and raise the contrast. The sky was already truly amazing.. =)

The lens is very very good.. but if i could change myself.. i would probebly have gone for that 14mm instead.. 2.8 is noticable better then 4.5-5.6 and the 12mm isnt used that much anyway.

Cheers and take care! =)

Hell, Yeah! I already liked the sunset shot I commented on yesterday, but this one is simply fantastic! Very fragile atmosphere, with the silhoette of the wreck.... Very impressive shot. Nothing to nitpick here, it's very well balanced, and an excellent shot.

Cheers,

Hugo

Dramatic as the sky is Patrick, I bet this ship had seen more dramatic in it's lifetime. Very thought inspiring shot. I like the sihouette effect which is positioned perfectly against the sky.
