About I wish I had taken more time with this shot so I got a better exposure for the train driver. (but he was staring at me and giving me the creeps)In the end I still like the composition and high contrast, hope you do too. Last steam train you'll ever catch me on by the way!

The high contrast works well, no problem at all. Composition is superb, a very good B&W portrait !

A really good shot, which has more than a touch of nostalgia for those over a certain age. Everyone should have the chance to get in the cab of a powerful steam engine.

Dear Peta, love the composition, balance, and simplicity of the shot. All really comes together well. Very good work. All the best, Mark

the overexposure works for me! very nice. I believe photography is more art than science anyhow - and this should be in a frame at a gallery somewhere.

great work,

It probably would have been better, but as it is I really like it. The high contrast fits with the hard steel and hard edge to the engineer, and the composition is excellent. Great tones by the way.
