A really good shot, which has more than a touch of nostalgia for those over a certain age. Everyone should have the chance to get in the cab of a powerful steam engine.

the overexposure works for me! very nice. I believe photography is more art than science anyhow - and this should be in a frame at a gallery somewhere.

It probably would have been better, but as it is I really like it. The high contrast fits with the hard steel and hard edge to the engineer, and the composition is excellent. Great tones by the way.
