I like the composition with the space you left for the trees on the left and the sky above. The B&W gives it a nice uniform look, and certainly emphasizes the "old." Nice work.

I am not a big fan of B&W but this one works for me. You use the rule of thirds very well in this image. The eye leads you the the barn like it should. Great job...

Beautiful subject, very nice composition and tones I would have increased the contrast but just a tiny bit so the the image would show the clouds better without losing its softness. This is the kind of images I particularly like for the mood. Fantastic capture. Well done, Dave Regards - Emgy

Nicely done Dave. Very interesting barn. I see the leaves are about all down. We seem to be slow here. I wonder how the colour version of this picture would have been? Nicely composed.

This seems a gloomy scene, you captured so well in your "Old Barn", Dave. I join those who say it needs no alteration. Thank you for your comprehensive comment on my "Dry leaf on lamps". Best regards, Rafi

Nice composition, and a wonderful image. Personally, I would give it a slight increase in contrast by reshooting with filtration. A green or red filter on a B&W image will surely produce very dramatic results. But I would rather use an R72 on digital color to produce a B&W infrared image. These would give the barn a weathered look amid harsh desolation.

Well, I hate to say it (really I don't) but there's no way this can be improved. In my opinion, at least. The tones and the flatness of it just have that feeling of desolation. Very nice job.

Hi Dave...hope you wouldn't mind, but I played w/ this one abit and this is what I came up with... I really like these kind of shots, and feel that these old structures lend themselves to an older feeling and approach, thanks for your comments - Chris
