There isn't many places left around my home where I can take long exposures without some burnout in the sky. Neat star trail photo.Your surreal photos are very good too.....rick

this one was actually just a single exposure. the twig turned out a little awkward due to the headlights that flooded the image last second

Looks like a double exposure of the twig and the star tracks. Great effect, would have been better if it had been a more picturesque twig that was shot at the same time as the tracks in one exposure. I'm sure you'll do more of these and come up with great images. This one is already beautiful. Mark

I like it Matt, the branch was lit up by the approaching car I'm guessing? Don't worry about it, it adds to the photo. I think star trail photos are more interesting when they have a foreground object. Next time try putting some trees in the shot. I took plenty of star trail photos while on a vacation to Stratford, Ontario. Nice and dark up there. Please check out my portfolio and tell me what you think.

Matt,I like it. part of the fun of using long exposures in night photography is the unexpected. I think the extra light that added color to the limbs makes the photo more interesting than what would have other wise been a silhouette. Few have the ambition to try a star shot. Nice job.
