Once again I believe your eye has found the areas I need to improve. I will take your advise and pick up a few rolls of Astia, as well as an addtional panel for fill.
The testing of the ISO rating will take me some time. I have seen articles related to this but did not wish to get too far over my head, but I will research it some more over next few weeks.
In your experience, will I be able to tell or see the flar from the back panel prior to the shot? Will it look simliar to the sunlight rainbow in the viewfinder when outside? Will using a lens hood help?
Again, thank you for your time and consideration. You already have me thinking in new paths.
got to fill his right to soften his left....this type of challenging pose requires a strong catch light in the eyes...stance is good but diminshed by your frame, again this should be a vertical...too much neg space left and right....use a reflector behind him to camera left and aimed at him to edge light and pull off the background...you might have to gobo the reflector as to avoid the light flaring the camera....until you nail the exposures and ratios try shooting slide film, Astia or Sensia....so your evalualtions are not affected by the printers interpetations...just be sure you rate or test the film ISO for your camera and lab specs...your printer is also printing flesh too pink....try using gold or soft gold reflectors and inserts to warm up the light.....
