Just returned from my diving holidays. Lanzarote is a tiny little island off the west coast of Africa just besides Morraco. Very popular holiday destination among western europeans.
Its an amazing island for its volcanic landscape. The hole island is black from the past multiple erruptions from 3 major volcanoes. No greens what so ever except palm trees and cactus even though its not a desert.
There were three majour volcano erruptions some where in 1800s from 3 different volcanoes. This is one the culprits which engulfed the whole village of some 400 houses and countless deaths. It belongs to Spain from its colonial past. Lanzarote is one of the 5 small islands of Canary islands.
