Miguel, I'm sorry but I do not have any articles on portraits. But I would be willing to share some ideas on what I try and do when photographing people. Of course, sometimes it's a portrait but sometimes I photograph models and then it needs to have a different impact. Let me know if you want me to email you some ideas.

I was looking into your portfolio, and i had to view this image again,it is so charming, the tones are wonderful, i really have to study portraits more often.

Nice high-key effect. You're right, it's the curves that really make it stand out. And the hat doesn't detract from the impact of her eyes. Good one!

Mark, you're right this does draw you right into her eyes, and I think it's the brim of the hat that does it! This is a beautiful portrait, great b&w tones, and I love the curves as well! Very well seen and shot!
