peter, excellent composition! this photo would probably work without the machinery in the foreground with the lush green lawn speckled with leaves offsetting the overcast sky. however, the rusty machine puts it in another dimension. the greenish color on the lower parts make it appear as if it grew there. a permanent part of the landscape. wonderful photo!

take care,
tom

beste groetjes
Guido

Hi Peter, apart from the old plough being partially cut off by the frame and the edge of the image, I think the set-up and the feeling of distance, emphasised by the perspective is very nice. Not the best weather for photography, but still well captured. Intriguing / inspiring shot!

Cheers,

Hugo

Very nice shot PEter.
I like how the foreground doesn't become the main focus, but rather the abbey and the lines take you right through it and beyond.

Beautiful coloring and composition,
Well done,
Lori ;)

Great composition, Peter! I like the old machinery in the foreground, then the wide expanse of lawn leading to the buildings.
...and thanks for all the comments!
Dave.

Teunis
