At least they hang about longer at this stage so you can get a decent pic and you done just that here SD. Well not just a decent pic, a magnificent one. The clarity and texture is outstanding. Well done. Den

Thanks Stephen and you got that right - i never knew how fast the lil fellas could decimate a plant: they already finished off the two plants i bought yesterday :( i can see why you would need lotsa money lol. Unfortunately there are no butty houses anywhere near here but i have convinced my headmaster to let me start a butty garden ;) step by step lolol. If they do metmorphise you guys will be the first to see the pics!!

Great macro - if I ever came into lotsa money I would build and run a butterfly house !!
I have not got much experience in keeping them but I do have a lot visiting them at the local tropical world. I would try and keep the area they are in as warm as possible - you made need to purchase another plant for food ;-)
I really hope they change to chrysalis and then metamorphosise :-)
Best wishes, Steve

Thanks Jeanette - to be honest i would have prefered a darker background too : the caterpillar wouldn't have gotten lost that way! What would you suggest?placing card behind?

Well SD. If your pets don't work out you can always feed them to my birds...LOL!. Only joking. I will be interested to see how these little guys turn out. Viewing them through your eyes is magical to say the least. You have the talent to turn an ugle little creature into a beautiful work of art.

LOL, never had the opportunity to raise a buttie but it's something I've longed for, for awhile;)One word of advice would be to keep your iguana away from them.
Great capture S.D. He's a pretty green.
