Hi Ned - you have a very interesting portfolio - and this is my favorite - I like this owl, very sharp and perfect color.

Cool shot, well done .. the orientation of the face (and eyes) add dynamic to the shot ! Thanks for commenting, Peter

Great contact, and crop! Excellent owl photo and the eyes are amazing. Both that beautiful colour, and also that it feels like I'm sucked in to those black holes!

The noise doesn't really bother me either! The frame... I could take it or leave it, try using plain colors ie" Black or white seem to be my favorites, sometimes I add a texture so it isn't so plain. And I would have to agree with your statement in your profile, you aren't a good photographer.... but rather an excellent nature photographer! Come on give yourself credit where it is due! I see many beauties in this gallery, and if you ever need any advice or want an opinion on a photo feel free to ask! This is an awesome capture! :)

Personally Ned I disagree with your bio. I think you are a very good photographer - sometimes we are our own worst critics - seriously !!
This is fabulous, the eyes are just stunning - even with the grain the composition and detail are great and the border you have is superb :-)
Best wishes, Steve

Good capture Ned, although the border is nice and gives the mood of the picture, yet it distracts the eyes coz it has many colours and textured. Anyways, that's a good shot Ned, the owl's eyes says many things and scarey........, I like it, good work.

Lose the border as its quite distracting from what other wise is a good capture of an owl. The noise doesn't bother me.
