What a great image. It just throws up all sorts of thoughts, and is continually making me view again and again - scouring the image Cheers Mel

Hahaha.. now this is a funny picture! Fits great into the Henri project i think.. =) Henry has one where a old man jumps from the side into a water pool. Great expression and pose.. great tones and light.. love the composition! 7++ well deserved!
Cheers!

Oh! Just returned an old classic to the library: the jump book by Phillipe Halsman. Bit uncomfortable with the values in the text of it but it seems a great way to portrait. This however is something else, a lot more proletariate. My first thought was to check for wheel chairs to confirm it's a therapy in progress here but then I saw the ropes laid out so still assume it is. My mind has the guy sitting on the desk behind as some kind of facilitator. Nice how the movement is shown in various isolated parts of his body here, from the jerky kick of his left foot to the frantic motion of his head and arms. The varied responses at the back may say a lot of different things. If it's therapy I don't think they're reaching the guy on the left! Great Shot Oliver!

I love the moment. Great example of the theme "simply life."
