Sally, thank you for all of your comments. I think that the cropping is purely subjective, but I appreciate your input. Your other comment on my shot of Slab City is accurate. It is in the middle of nowhere, which is why some people choose to live there. They prefer to be on the fringe of society, if not totally outside of it.

Thank you Jeanette. No, I do not know who Salgado is. It's interesting that you think that the image feels futuristic, because it's a shot of the wheel drive of a 19th century locomotive.

Ahh - if there was a man working there also it has been alike Salgado. Do you know who he is? I like this geometrical image, as well as the sharp details. It?s futuristic somehow!!!!! :)
