Hi Ellen, Very creative shot, Silhouettes are powerful by nature, but placing it against the blue of the sky, almost across the entire photo is an excellent touch. Very creative shot. I'd only would've liked a slightly wider DOF. Althought that would flatten the image, the fading leg adds a minor distraction to an otherwise excellent shot.

In UK we call them "Daddy Lonlegs". We had one in our lounge the other eveninig. Took shots but nothing special. I like the silhouette effect you've captured here. Well done.
