Guido I think the Canon Powershot Pro1 is a dynomite camera ! However it has drawbacks. Its hard to isolate using a smaller f stop, even when extended to 200mm. If you don't have a DSLR and are looking to upgrade, I would go with the nikon D70 or the Canon 300D. you get a lot of bang for your buck with the DSLR. I like both Canon and Nikon. I had Nikon lens's so when DSLR came along it was cheaper to go stay with Nikon. What i do is carry the 80-200 zoom on my D100, then the D70 has the 300MM. sometimes while photographing wildlife I find my self too close for 300MM !! so the zoom works then. The pro1 is used mostly for Landscape. I love the results i get plus its an 8 Megapixel File . hope that helps jimc
