Yes, leaves can wreck havoc on pool filters. Not sure about the nuts themselves. Thanks Steve, the acorn just looked so green laying there in the woods.

Excellent photo Jim, I love the colours and the composition. It serves as a good reminder to me !!
I have an oak tree in my garden with branches that overhang my pond. I will soon need to put the cover over the pond to stop the leaves from dropping and blowing in :-)
