The badger is the state animal of Wisconsin, as well as the mascot of the university. Old Westpac sailors often attach the japanese word maru (vessel) to a ship of their own. Bitchy Maru was what the old Long Beach was often called in east asia ports.

Perfectly framed, lovely contrast between grey metal and blue sky, and a fascinating shape. All comes together to make a pretty powerful image, George! If it been Corpus Christi (Tx) I would have known the ship. We visited there with my sister and brother-in-law a few years ago and my boys loved it...
