Eva,
I realize what you were doing - just showing what impressions can be gotten out of a well done photo - even if you don't realize it. I always try to look at photos with an open mind and I always try to find different meaning even if they wern't intended - that is the power of a really great photo - to read more into it than even the photographer intended because it is so compelling!

was trying to re-create the atmosphere of that time, without using a sepia mode, just play with the colors. both me and Dean were just about to finish the convo. he was preparing to throw his cigarette and leave :)

Awesome Eva!
A lot of symbolism going on here! Every element in this photo works fantastically! The ruler - as you said measuring time or the measure of the man? etc..etc... The cigarette - Phallic symbol? Idol worship? the cigarette is almost done - a life done, gone? The cigarette symbolic of the intimacy you felt? Both you and James Dean smoking, sharing in your mind? Sharing what - something more - An intimate self-satisfaction to a timeless ideal - basking in the afterglow? Some vivid and wild thoughts can be seen here. Any photo that can make your imagination run wild like that is a great image! Excellent job - very well thoughtout and presented!
