Ian, thank you very much. I haven't been on in a few days, in a personal crisis here, and also very sleepless. I appreciate your looking and commenting. It's always the bright spot in my day to recieve something like this. :)

I get a feeling of hopeless despair when I look at this image Rebecca, that not even the bright light, on a few of the windows on the right, can wash away. I see the climbing ivy as grasping and wanting to engulf and take over the whole building. It even appears to be crawling into that open windowless frame. Superb tones and lighting creating an excellent atmosphere.

VERY moody, very city! This is a good example of "Street" photography. As I always say Rebecca, I like your B+W the best. I think it allows you to put more emotion into your work.

No, Dirck. This is one that is being renovated as part of a downtown revitalization program. I loved the ivy growing up the side and the windows out, I punched up the lighting I think, which caused the vignetting to the left. Thanks for all you help and comments. They are always greatly appreciated.

Definitely a foreboding atmosphere, especially with the broken out windows and the ivy starting to grow into them! The lighting is great - it tempers the gloom with a touch of bright hope and optimism... the uneven vignette and the roof line of the shed also help lead the eye toward the light. One of the first photos of yours I remember commenting on was an amazing photo you titled 'They only come out at night' - is this the same building?

I like the different angles present in this shot!! Very nice effect. Is it a light in the right part which gives the shadow on the left?Or is it sun?. Anyway, Congrats. Regards. Fabrice

Mark, the lighting was from the right from street lights, but I think I did enhance it with a little more, with omni lighting in Elements. This was taken a while back and was in my files. Thanks for commenting :)
