About We visited our friend Bryan's new house yesteday for a housewarming party. I had heard his wife's parrot, Kiwi, many times before (screaching in the background on phone calls) but hadn't yet seen her. She's a beautiful, if photo-averse creature. Persistence paid off, however, as I finally got her to sit still for a milisecond to have her portrait taken.
