Beautiful composition...like the strong focus on the subject & the washed out sky...enhances the sense of bareness

Strong image, strong message. Great B&W - from one extreme (the dark shadows) to the other (the washed out sky at the top) - excellent work. Linn

Hello Shiv,
I really had to chuckle at this one. At first I didn't see the cracked earth...then I saw, and thought 'how funny'!!
This makes a great photograph in black and white! I like it. Nice contrasting tones.
Looks like you need more water there than we do where I live, although I have read about your drought. I know, it's bad.
Nice image, Lori :)

wonderful photo.. perhaps if they row harder it might work?....just love the story that this image creates for me in my mind. I ask myself is this a misfortune here, or is the tide out and left this boat stranded for a few hours only? Anyway as all good photos do, they bring things up in the mind as does this one for me.
Tim :)

Hi Surya; I really like the subject and composition of this photo, and even though the sky is pretty washed out, I think it still works well-- adds a high key character. You've handled the shadow detail well here too. Nice work. Cheers. Craig

Excellent title.
Shiv, There was some news about drought in India recently but I didn't think the drought was so bad. Looks like total parched land with cracks on the ground !!!. Hope I am wrong.
Regards, ken.

Very nice capture Shiv. IMHO, would crop a little at the top to get a more powerful photo. Bravo for a great work.

Hello Surya, I agree with you. Where to go if there's no sea to sail and earth to go?
We have to explore new dimensions...
See you and my compliment for this very evocative picture

Great.I like that the overexposed sky is missing into the white backround. It gives some feeling of nonexistence..
