Very creative image... but I think although the flowers add a splash of colour, they are slightly out of place. The glasses, book and hat make me think of an older man, taking a break from reading. I hope that you take another stab at this, because it is already stunning!

Marty, Thanks for all the helpful comments on my pictures. Flying by the seat of your pants? It seems I said that in the description of my first post. I think your pants' seat is better than mine. (broad grin) By the way, do you happen to know what PJ stands for?

Dawn, yes I did give this a shot of canvas in PS, I like texture, even when I used to work in a lab and studio, Id texture my prints when I could, just liked the added affect, this photo is just screaming for some detail in the shadows, I know that, Im tempted to reshoot this shot and do it right, as for the warm glow about my photos? your about the 4th person to mention it..dunno, nothing done on purpose. I just set up, and photograph what looks good to me, flying by the seat of my pants on everything I do :)

Marty, This looks like it's been 'treated' somehow, if that's the correct terminology. Did you use some sort of dark room technique, to make it so paintinglike? I enjoy, more than anything else --- and I do enjoy just about everything to do with your pictures --- the moods you convey. I'm also especially interested in how you manage to give everything you take such a warm, rich, golden glow. I think it's this type of lighting that is creating 'the mood' in your work. What's your secret?

Great composition Marty, but I'm not sure what I'm looking at here, a little too dark for me in the upper left. The light on the book and glasses is very nice though.

I don't know if this reminds me of "Old English" or what would you say it is Marty? I can't seem to think of the older artistic photography that this reminds me of. Something like Sherlock Holmes or something like that.
