Unfortunately in small aircraft the problem with the windows is mainly caused by the remains of flies and other insects. On the day before we flew through a swarm of insects just as we neared an airfield we were diverting to due to a partial engine failure. Managed to get the engines sorted but not all the mess on the windows!

hard to get shots like this with out some gear on the glass being caught I suppose we can try to prevent it by using a polarising filter or incorporate it which is a good effect
